Validating identity on belkin wireless router
Check for a setting often called Access List that includes or excludes users by identifying the MAC ID unique to their wireless adapter. * If there is no response from the router the default address may have been changed.
But when I then try to connect by WIFI the problem is still there.I have 2 old laptops both running on Windows XP, which I am trying to connect via WIFI to a Belkin router. One works fine but the other will not accept the network key which I know to be correct.I can see that the "properties" of the connections are different but can't see how to change them.First, click on the wireless icon in your taskbar and under Related Tasks, choose Change advanced settings. Now click on the Wireless Networks tab and select the network in the list at the bottom.
